The Rajasthan Royals franchise is owned by a number of emerging media
groups. It was the least expensive of the IPL teams to be acquired at some
US$67million. The Royals won the inaugural IPL tournament when they defeated
the Chennai Super Kings by three wickets in the final. They lost only three
games throughout the entire tournament, which was a great achievement in
itself.
The team logo has a lion to reflect royalty - an animal that also
represents the might, raw energy and the power of the Royals. The logo also
includes the war horn which denotes the war cry.
The team is captained by the great Shane Warne and also includes the likes
